Guys, since a very long time I have conflict within me. I want to be healthy but also to gain muscle. The thing is that real health means for me also a lot of energy. But when I eat much, I lose energy. To stomach proceeds the food and it costs a lot of energy over the day. I wanted to eat only natural foods and not so much of it or fast more but then I would not be able to gain much muscle. Anyone of you had the same conflickt? I ask myself if I have to give up one of these goals or if it is possible to have both on a high standard.

Don't have this exact conflict, as I've basically decided that quality of life and functional aspects of fitness (like flexibility and coordination) are the priority. Also, I'm doing martial arts now which eliminates the need to decide on a week-to-week program for the time being and aligns with what my interests are for fitness. My main conflict has more to do with managing things in my diet which are not always the best or easy to do in excess.

Also, I see no reason why eating natural foods and building muscle would have to contradict each other, though you would have to still eat a lot to build muscle compared to if you were just maintaining. There is research on this, and there are plenty of examples of people who have become very strong eating organic foods.
